What kind of evaluations are available?
I can conduct in-person or virtual evaluations--whatever is more comfortable for your family.
What's in the portfolio? A binder with the following:
• Attendance log of 180 days with start/finish date. If you don't have the finish date yet, that's okay. After the evaluation, send it to me when completed.
• Work Samples – 3 to 4 Work samples of the main subject areas: reading, writing and math (samples should be from beginning, middle, end of the year.)
1 -2 work samples or proof of lessons (pictures, brochures, field trip and project pictures) taught in other subjects covered in your home school. Remember not all subjects have to be covered every year or all year long.
* Be sure to include things that your children are proud of so it will be easy for them to talk about it during the interview.
• Book Log- List book titles read and curriculum used
• Sample of any other personal log that you use such as a planner, notes, or weekly schedule. Just to see what your days look like. It does NOT have to be anything formal or super organized. It's okay if it's not detailed. We will use the interview to also talk about what school looks like for your family.
